Technology & Fabrics

Gore-Tex (www.gore-tex.com)
Garments made with 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro fabric are durably waterproof, windproof and extremely breathable. They combine comfort with reliable weather protection, even during extended activities in extreme weather.

The fabric’s construction keeps your body dry by reducing the accumulation of sweat. Made to meet the high demands of (ski) mountaineers, freeriders, mountain guides and serious outdoor enthusiasts, garments made with 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro fabric are engineered with added durability to withstand abrasion in rugged environments, while protecting against extreme and unpredictable conditions with frequent work-rest cycles.

In the 2-layer construction, the Gore-Tex membrane is bonded to a soft, high-performance face fabric and then protected from the inside by a separate lining. This makes it a great choice for insulated jackets. Gore-Tex DWR finish is PFC-free.

Dermizax (torayentrant.com)
Dermizax®EV is a highly durable membrane. It is exceptionally waterproof and windproof. It has good moisture permeability and the membrane is soft, lightweight and easy to care for.

Waterproofness: 20,000mmH2O or higher
Moisture permeability: 16,000g/m2/24 hrs or higher.

Ecodear is the fabric we use with the Dermizax EV membrane. This fabric is a sustainability project from Toray, where they use a 30% plant-based raw material made from waste molasses, a by-product from the process of refining sugarcane into sugar. The goal of this project is to create 100% plant-based materials, leading to a circular carbon cycle.

Schoeller (www.schoeller-textiles.com)
Schoeller Keprotec reinforcement fabric is highly protective. The fabric has a combination of high-tensile aramid fibres, such as Kevlar. It is extremely abrasion-proof and tear-resistant.

Primaloft (www.primaloft.com)
Primaloft Eco insulation is warm, compressible, breathable and offers excellent water repellence, so you remain dry, warm and comfortable even during extreme conditions.

Primaloft Eco insulation uses post-consumer recycled material to create an earth-friendly insulation.

Downis extremely lightweight and has outstanding insulation properties. We only use white goose down of the highest quality, not live-plucked, from birds in Asia.

Thermore (www.thermore.com)
Thermore Ecodown offers the advantages of synthetic insulation with the soft touch properties of down. Ecodown is made from 100 % recycled fibres and is Bluesign certified. It is a warm and durable insulation with freedom of movement and less bulk than down products. Ecodown features Thermore’s exclusive fibre migration treatment and is manufactured with great respect for animals and the environment.

CloInsulation (www.cloinsulation.com)
Clo Veluti Vivo is amicro-fibre composite, with great performance due to its design. The insulation is penetrated by a series of small holes that enhance breathability without decreasing its thermal insulation properties. These holes trap air and create fantastic warmth during low activity, but also allow for air and water vapour to flow through very quickly when as body temperature increases during high activity.

Pontetorto (www.pontetorto.it)
Technowool is a line of wool fabrics with technical performance. The fabrics combine the positive properties of synthetic fibres on the inside with the natural look and advantages of wool on the outside. Technowool is made from recycled wool and is not treated with chlorine.

Technostretch is an ideal performance mid-layer. It has a durable outer surface and a warm, insulating inner surface. It is fast drying and the stretch makes the fit body-hugging.

The Pontetorto fabrics are both Bluesign certified and Oekotex 100 certified.

Knitwear (www.novetex.com)
These warming fibres are natural, non-mulesed wool. Wool fibres can absorb large quantities of moisture vapour and then move it away to evaporate into the air.

Wool is an active fibre that reacts to changes in body temperature. It helps you stay warm when the weather is cold, and cool when the weather is hot. It is natural and biodegradable.

Merino wool fibres are extremely fine, enabling them to bend far more than traditional, coarser wool fibres. This makes Merino wool feel soft and luxuriously gentle on your skin. Its natural elasticity helps Merino wool garments to stretch with you, but also return to their original shape.

Lambswool is the soft wool obtained from lambs the very first time they are sheared. The result is a very high-quality fibre.

BCI Cotton (www.bettercotton.org)
The Better Cotton Initiative exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in, and better for the sector’s future, by developing Better Cotton as a sustainable mainstream commodity.
